I'd prefer if credit were given for light or medium inspiration. I don't allow heavy inspiration due to multiple people using that as an excuse to outright rip off my pastes.

I've been using a few of the same ones recently with different gradient maps/filters/other overlays on top, some I consistently use + some I've used recently are here: https://ibb.co/album/0QD5Gs. I search up what material / texture the overlay should be (usually pavement/gauze/marble/rock etc) + try out a lot of different overlays to see which ones look good layered. The process of finding which ones look good + trying out different opacities for each takes half an hour at most? I'd say

Graphics: I normally start with laying out foundations (a background, a lace border around the inside of the graphic, general placement of assets, etc) & sometimes do sketches of what I want graphics to look like before creating them. To make something look good it has to exist first (+ with different kinds of inner background layouts such as with defined spaces for text to go into I'd mess around with different fonts / text sizes / symbols + favicons to check which would best fit the inner BG) I've answered colouring-related questions multiple times on here but for the sake of having colouring tips all in one place: I use a lot of adjustment layers (mainly gradient maps / tone curves / level adjustments / brightness + contrast) throughout, as at least for me it's easier to compare differences in colouring than if you put filters on the actual assets. I also move overlay layers around / in-between adjustment layers quite often just to further find out what I like. Animating graphics normally takes around 20 minutes to half an hour for me, mostly spent on the actual animations & effects then much less time spent correcting any mistakes & converting the file into something more useable (normally a WEBP or APNG, as both support transparency & cut down file size) Borders: I start off with making a square using straight line-shaped assets (often dividers) then finding ways to add to said square (more assets such as dividers, particle PNGs or PNGs matching the Rentry's aesthetic in the corners). For metadata such as border width + slice it's trial and error of what looks good, with percentage widths the border will look stretched out if the numbers are wrong. Also to note I don't merge down the layers for my border-making process since I need to be able to change the border's appearance if something goes wrong that I can't fix
